BOBBY CONTE
Bobby Conte is a New York-based actor and vocalist most recently seen on Broadway in the revival of The Who’s Tommy. In film and TV, his credits include If Beale Street Could Talk (dir. Barry Jenkins), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix), Madam Secretary, and The Code (CBS). Previously on stage, he was in the acclaimed Tony-winning Broadway revival of George Furth and Stephen Sondheim’s Company. Bobby made his Broadway debut originating the role of ‘Calogero’ in A Bronx Tale, directed by Robert De Niro and Jerry Zaks. He received his training at the University of Michigan and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

WRITER
Jeffrey Scharf is a playwright, bookwriter, lyricist, songwriter and screenwriter. As a bookwriter and lyricist, he is a Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre finalist. Reunions (music by Jimmy Calire) completed a highly regarded off-Broadway run in 2025. Copperfield! The New Musical and Who's Got Me? (Book, lyrics and music by Jeffrey) both had sold-out runs at the Jewel Theatre in Santa Cruz, CA. His holiday show The Three Tales (Gifts) of Christmas was commissioned and produced by the Elite Theatre Company. His musical For a Moment in Time had a staged reading at the Garry Marshall Theatre in Los Angeles. His “Banana Slugs Victory March” is heard in the movie The Baxter. Other works include book and lyrics for Houdini Among the Spirits, the movie script The Best Laugh and the ten-minute plays Postcards from the Ledge and M-Urgency Room.
He is a co-writer of “Life in the Slow Lane” recorded by Roberta Donnay and “I Don’t Want to Know” recorded by Spencer Day. Non-theatrical writings include a long-running career as newspaper columnist for the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
